Empowering Women in Leadership: Highlights from the First Board Training Workshop
On 20th November, WiLD Norway held its inaugural Board Training Workshop in collaboration with SANDS Advokatfirma DA with the aim of promoting gender equality in senior leadership and in boardrooms through training and development. This milestone event brought together aspiring and current leaders in life sciences for an evening of learning, networking, and empowerment, united by a shared recognition of the importance of promoting gender parity across our sector.
Hosted at SANDS Advokatfirma's Oslo office, the workshop featured expert insights from lawyers Caterina Håland Gaeta and Kristin Solevåg. Their engaging session explored critical topics for aspiring board members, including the Norwegian Companies Act, the responsibilities and liabilities of board members, and best practices to mitigate risks. The discussions provided participants with practical knowledge and strategies to navigate the challenges of board leadership.
WiLD Norway is proud to foster initiatives that champion skills development, diversity, and impactful leadership. Events like this are an important part of our aim to equip women in health and life sciences with the tools and confidence needed to embrace boardroom roles.
Our sincere thanks go to SANDS Advokatfirma DA for their support and partnership, to Caterina and Kristin for sharing their invaluable knowledge, and to all participants for their enthusiasm and thought-provoking questions.
Together, we can create a more diverse and inclusive future for leadership in life sciences.
